NYX Total Control Drop Foundation

This post will be my first EVER review, so what better way to start than reviewing the NYX total control Drop Foundation.

I bought the shade Natural

I heard about this foundation whilst doing my daily routine on watching all my favourite youtubers,

Living in New Zealand we don't always get the brand new high end make up brands or even the brand new drug store stuff, so watching youtube and seeing the awesome new make up is a struggle as I either have to wait or order online.

Anyway, NYX finally came to our pharmacy and I new this was first on my list to try.

Whilst I thought the bottle was very small (compared to other foundations) the 'total control' caught my eye. See I love a heavy coverage, but also love a natural flawless look so you can understand why I rushed to buy this.

Now my skin texture is combination, very oily in my forehead and chin, very dry around my nose so one thing you have to be aware of is, it is a Matte finish, meaning all you dry skinned women out there will either need a shit tonne of moisturiser or to avoid.

I personally find it sits perfectly on my face except it does cling to my nose area (not to bad though) so using a lot of hydrating products before applying the foundation would be better such as a thicker moisturiser, hydrating primer and even a hydrating spray/mist.

On the box it says:

2 + Drops - Light

3 + Drops - Medium

4+ Drops - Full

When applying the foundation I worked section by section starting on the right cheek using a Beauty Sponge.

First two drops I put on to my face didn't look like much my thoughts were 'oh wow I'm going to go through that foundation to quick' carried on to the left cheek forehead and chin. I added another 2 drops on each section then finally just another two drops on the sections that needed that extra coverage. Once I had the right amount of coverage the finished looked AMAZING!! It wasn't completely matte which I liked, it felt like I wasn't wearing anything.

It lasted all day at work looking exactly how I left the house (at 6:30 in the morning) and lasted until I took it off at night. The colour stayed true and didn't oxidise which is one of the hardest things to find in a foundation. The finish stayed all day (no touch ups )

Although the foundation is a very liquid foundation and you will have to use quite a bit (the more coverage the more foundation) but for the price, colour range, finish and the fact it STAYS ALL DAY??? You can't go wrong and i will definitely be repurchasing when I finish this bottle.
