Hi Guys!

Hope you have had a lovely day.

It was a long weekend here in Christchurch so naturally i dug out all my well loved make up palettes and played around with them, I started to realise that i was reaching for the urban decay Naked Palettes which then decided to do a review on them.

I have owned the naked palettes since they came out, the only one i haven't bought is the 'Smokey' Palette and only because i used to be blonde so could never actually pull of the 'Dark Smokey' look, no i have dark hair and trying different things, i think I'm going to HAVE to purchase it cos.. well why not??

So in this review i will talk about the colours, pigmentation, price, if its worth it, i also have swatches of my favourite colours. i will talk about blending, what they are like to build up, what they look like dry or wet, and what works better- fingers or brushes, I hope you enjoy this Review.

So mum bought me the first Naked palette for Christmas when it first came out.. (Thanks mum:) )

To be quite honest i wasn't into make up as much i am now so didn't really know the difference quality wise. but i used this palette everyday, without fail!

This palette costs 32.91 (GBP) (Did you know in NZ we don't have a pound sign on our keyboard.. SO WIRED?? )

Retailing for $91 in NZ.

It features twelve insanely beautiful eye shadows in a range of finishes and textures. This coveted collection of bronze toned neutrals delivers endless eye possibilities. The velvety formulas glide across the lid without grabbing, pulling or creasing and can be blended and layered as desired to deliver a seamless, stunning eye look.

Its suitable for every eye colour ( i have blue eyes). The glittered eye colours work perfectly when using your fingers to pack on colour. (which is perfect if you are just starting out). I personally recommend using Mac fix + on the lighter shades, this just helps to make the colour stand out a bit more.

The most anticipated sequels of the decade, it follows in the footsteps of the Naked palette Naked 2 palette is filled with 12 pigment rich taupe natural colours including 5 Exclusive new shades. & Naked palette 3 is filled with 12 never before seen shadows with every finish imaginable : ultra smooth mattes, gorgeous pearls and glimmering metallic (two of the industries all time bestselling palettes).

I was lucky mum & nan actually bought me these for Christmas when they came out to visit for the first time.. (thanks Mum & Nan!)

I was obsessed with make up but wasn't very good at adapting to new palettes and knowing what colours worked with other colours and how to apply them and make them look nice, I struggled for a while as these two palettes are different, (2nd one is cool toned, 3rd is warmer(pinks )) i couldn't understand the difference and why they weren't working.. untill i realised use one or the other and stick to similar shades untill i knew how they worked!! it still took me a while to love them, i was still reaching for my 'Naked' Palette..

As i have grown into make up and branched out with other palettes i realised that i always loved these palettes but would always use them in conjunction with other palettes almost like these would finish my looks off giving me that pop of something ... Little bit of advice, The naked palette 3 is has pinky tones so brown eyed people? your better off sticking with 1 & 2 or Smokey & Heat

These Palettes also retail for 32.91(GBP) $91

Do i think its worth having? yes.

The final/ star of the show for me - the naked heat palette.

This is the amber- hued collection of 12 on trend neutrals that you won't be able to put down.

I got this when i went back to the UK to see family, i had money to spend from my 21st birthday. This one is 39.50 (GBP) ($91)

i can't express how much i love this palette, the colours are my go to everyday. i can go for a natural look or a smokey purple look, they are like a dream to blend. Urban Decay nailed the formula on this palette and also the colours.

The glitter/foiled shadows in the palette work amazing using your fingers but also with brushes. a lot of palettes that i own using a brush for the glittery shades tend to loose pigment, but this one doesn't. I have used Mac Fix + on the shimmers but found it actually made no difference.

If your just starting out with make up or have a tight budget and your wondering which to get i highly recommend the Naked Heat - but if money isn't a problem? get all of them.

In my research i found that mecca sells all 4 palettes for $328... Crazy money.

I have put swatches of the palettes and a photo of me with a smokey purple look using the Naked Heat palette.

I hope this has helped you make a decision!

Thanks for reading,

Liberty xx
